The friendship that led to S&J Stable began twenty years ago with a horse named Chick. He was an accomplished cow horse when Susan gifted him to Jessica, and he went on from there to become a beloved lesson horse, giving rides to hundreds of people through the years. He also became one of the founding horses in Garden State Horse Archers, helping us teach beginner archery lessons. Truly a bombproof horse, Chick's favorite activities are exploring new places and travelling around town. If you've been in the Franklinville area and seen a chestnut Quarter Horse parked in front of a Wawa, a Heritage, the ice cream shop, a bar...you've seen Chick.
Through the years, Susan would come back to visit her horse. Friendship formed and ideas grew. 4Heroes became a driving force behind finding a farm to purchase. We wanted a place that would allow us the privilege of expanding to give back to our country's military vets. Now that S&J is here we have just begun!
